Hi,

I would suggest you lot to examination the effect by manually copying a single photo and relieve information technology. Check if it works.

I would as well suggest you to check if you lot have permissions to the folder to which you lot are importing the photos.

I would suggest you to follow these steps and requite permissions to the binder:

  1. Press Windows primal + X on the keyboard.

  2. Click on Command Prompt (Admin).

  3. At the command prompt, type "takeown /f <foldername> /r /d y" without quotes and so printing ENTER. (Replace <foldername> with the path of the folder).

  4. Then, blazon "icacls <foldername> /grant administrators:F /T" without quotes and striking enter. (Supersede <foldername> with the path of the folder).

Using the above mentioned commands, nosotros took the ownership of the folder and then assigned the Administrators group Full Command Permissions for the folder.

Let the states know the results.

Rohit Southward

Before I saw your reply I figured out how to change the folders permissions past going into its properties.  Subsequently doing that I was able to import the photos and edit them without bug. Give thanks y'all.

We have the same trouble with all our Fuji cameras.

With Windows 7 and eight y'all could drag the photos from the camera folder to the desktop.

But Windows x does non recognise the photo folder (it actually treats information technology as empty when it is definitely half full).

This is not an administrator-related problem.

The simply work around (until MS fixes the glitch) is to download the camera software and try to piece of work with that.

I have exactly the same problem with my Fuji camera, information technology says the photographic camera has  no photos on it. I had no problems with windows 7. hopefully Microsoft will sort out this problem soon.

Yes… real trouble with Fuji cameras… simply cannot move photos from camera to PC.

With seven and 8 you could go to My Calculator and open the camera folder and elevate photos into a desktop folder, BUT Windows 10, although information technology recognises the photographic camera binder, insists that it is empty… a real nightmare.

Accept downloaded all the Fuji software… same problem. Even with the Fuji software installed, Windows ten refuses to find anything in a total camera binder.

Had to take all the photos off on my laptop (Windows 7) and I won't upgrade whatsoever other family unit PCs until MS has stock-still this considering it'south a genuine nuisance and a real timewaster.

Update: When I turned on my computer I had the same problem I had before I changed the permissions. Administrators full control didn't work.

I decided to remove the SD menu and put it into the computer's card reader slot, but once again windows 10 recognised the card and and so declared it to be empty! I practice hope they sort out this problem, as the whole point of a digital photographic camera (for me) is to take snaps and view them on a computer!

My girl as well tried putting on her photo'south from a canon camera and once more window'southward 10 said it was empty. So I'm now bold this problem is affecting most photographic camera brands.

Same Problem with Kodak, Iphone half dozen and SD card reader. Getting "An error has occurred while attempting to import. Either the source is unavailable or the destination is total or read only" with Picasa , and the message "Something went Wrong Attempt again or cancel." with windows 10 Photos app.  This happens with all 3 devices and using both Picasa or Windows 10 Photos. I take all of my administrative permissions. Is there a set on the manner? I really stuck. I have to piece of work with photos as function of my chore. Any help?
